Amiral Guitars Proudly Announce Their Sponsorship of Special Ops's Akbar Johnson

Montreal-based Amiral Guitars are pleased to announce their second recipient of an Amiral guitar sponsorship: Special Ops’s Akbar Johnson.

Founded in 2009, Amiral Guitars make it their mission to provide Canada’s most talented independent artists with custom-made guitars that not only have exceptional quality, but also come at a reasonable price.

“Up-and-coming artists shouldn’t have to compromise on quality just because it is out of their price range – that’s where we come in,” commented Patrick Fung, co-founder of Amiral Guitars.

Akbar Johnson, vocalist and guitarist of Montreal-based collective Special Ops, is the company’s second recipient of a guitar sponsorship and Amiral hopes it’s only the start of many more great partnerships to come.

“I couldn’t be happier to be getting a custom seven-string that sounds exactly how I want it to, and right before our summer tour too. The sound is so dead-on that I’ve dubbed the guitar the Johnsonian,” joked Akbar Johnson.
